Privacy Policy

  • This is the privacy statement of Nouwens Transport Breda BV (hereinafter “NTB” or “we”). NTB is located in Breda aan de Steltbeemd 3. NTB's Chamber of Commerce number in the Netherlands is: Breda H20 1130 38. NTB is responsible for processing personal data.

    NTB has a Data Protection Officer (“FG”). The DPO internally supervises NTB's data processing. If you have complaints or questions that cannot be dealt with by the contacts, please contact the DPO.     In this statement, we explain our general policy with regard to the processing of personal data. We describe what personal data we process about you, how we ensure your privacy and what rights you have.

    This statement relates to data that we process from NTB customers and drivers, visitors to our website, suppliers, applicants and all other NTB relationships.

    What is NTB's general privacy policy?

    • NTB respects the privacy of all visitors to its websites www.nouwens.com and www.werkenbijnouwens.nl and of its (potential) customers and relations.
    • NTB puts the security and confidentiality of your personal data first and handles your personal data with care.
    • NTB only shares your data with parties that it engages to provide its services and with parties with whom it must share data on the basis of a legal obligation.
    • NTB is constantly looking for ways to improve its services. In doing so, NTB always takes your privacy into account and complies with the requirements of applicable data protection legislation.

    When do we collect your personal data and how do we get it? NTB processes your personal data because you:

    • uses or wants to make use of its services;
    • passes on your data to NTB via personal contact, e-mail, website or by phone;
    • visits the NTB websites;
    • has a business relationship with NTB;
    • applies to NTB.

    You provide most of the data that we collect from you yourself. The data that concerns depends on the specific service. In some cases, we may extract the data from our database so that you do not have to provide your data over and over again. For what purposes do we collect your personal data? NTB processes your personal data for the following purposes:

    Communication.

    We use your contact details to contact you if necessary, for example to process a quote or a contract. Furthermore, to inform you about our services and to inform you about current developments.

    Creditworthiness check.

    Before each agreement, we test the creditworthiness of our customers, and any other relationships involved. Usually, only company data is processed in this process, but personal data may also be processed.

    Application process.

    Both in response to open applications and in response to a vacancy.

    Legislation and regulations.

    We process your personal data if we are obliged to do so by law and regulations.

    Website user experience.

    To assess whether the NTB website offers an optimal user experience.

    Marketing analysis and research.

    We use your contact information to invite you to participate in surveys, surveys, and customer panels.

    Direct marketing/advertising.

    What are the principles for processing?

    We process your data because we need this information to enter into or execute the agreement with you, because we have a legal obligation, you have given permission to do so, or because we have a legitimate interest in doing so.     What processes are involved and what personal data does NTB collect?

    NTB processes your personal data in various processes. Below is an overview of the most important processes.

    1. Sales
      You can contact NTB's sales and planning department for all your questions, quotes and contract processing from NTB. Sometimes sales or planning will ask you to provide certain information so that they can provide you with good service. Sometimes it will be necessary to share your information with third parties. On the NTB website, you can contact NTB via a contact form, for example if you have a question. This form comes to the management and is dealt with as quickly as possible. We need the information that we ask you to fill in in order to communicate with you and to provide you with service as quickly as possible.
    2. Newsletters
      We would be happy to inform you about our current developments in the market. To do this, we use your contact details that you have provided to us. We use your email address to send you newsletters digitally. If you no longer want to receive emails from NTB, you can submit a request via info@nouwens.com.
    3. Acquisition
      NTB can contact you directly by post or e-mail to become its customer. In doing so, we take into account the relevant (spam) legislation.
    4. Purchasing/suppliers/intermediaries
      NTB processes personal data of its suppliers and intermediaries that are necessary for the purchase of products and the execution of agreements. The data that NTB processes from its suppliers are the names and contact details of the contacts and other data if this is necessary in a specific case.
    5. Applications If you apply to NTB, the data you provide will be processed. These include:
    • name and address details;
    • email address, phone number, and other contact details;
    • birth details/age;
    • gender;
    • Curriculum vitae (CV), information about training, internships and work experience;
    • information about training and training and/or assessments;
    • availability data;
    • other information that (may) be important in assessing the candidate's suitability, for example references and certificates, nationality and work permit;
    • other information that you have provided to us.

    NTB only uses this information before and during the application process. How long do we keep your personal data? NTB does not store your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. What does that mean in concrete terms?

    • Customer details
      Your personal data is stored as long as you are an NTB customer. After the end of the cooperation, NTB will keep your data for a maximum of seven years (in connection with legal obligations).
    • Supplier data
      Your personal data will be kept for as long as we do business or as long as you are our contact person for the supplier and for as long as we are required to do so by law.
    • Applicant information
      Your data as an applicant will be stored for a maximum of one month after completion of an application process, unless you have given permission for us to keep it longer. Then your data will be deleted after 1 year at the latest.


    Do we share your information?

    All data that we process is stored in the data centers of our IT service providers. NTB does not sell your personal data to third parties. Furthermore, NTB only shares your data if it is legally obliged to do so. How do we protect your data? We protect your data to prevent it from being lost or falling into the wrong hands. Some of the measures we take are:

    • we secure our website;
    • our software has been updated and we use a firewall;
    • access to electronic systems is password protected;
    • only authorized staff/third parties have access to your personal data;

    What rights do you have with regard to your personal data?

    You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by NTB. In some cases, you also have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data that we hold about you in a computer file to you or another organization mentioned by you.

    You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or request for cancellation of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@nouwens.com.

    To ensure that the request for inspection has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your ID with the request. In this copy, make your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, which is the two or three lines at the bottom of the passport cover or on the back of an ID card), ID number and social security number (BSN) black. This is to protect your privacy. We will assess whether we should and can comply with your request. We will respond to this as soon as possible.

    If you have any complaints about our data processing, please report this to our Data Protection Officer as soon as possible. Of course, we hope to work this out together. In addition, it is possible to file a complaint with the national supervisor, the Data Protection Authority.     What if NTB's privacy policy changes?

    The rules concerning the protection of personal data and our services may change. We therefore reserve the right to make changes to this privacy statement. The most current privacy statement can always be found at www.nouwens.com. This statement was last amended on May 23, 2018.
